Photographer of the
CFA institute research challenge - 2012/11
It was the first time for me to be a photographer in such major events. Even though I was only responsible for taking photos for the team of our school, I was nervous as there were Ming Pao reporters using professional DSLR right beside me while I was using a entry-level camera. As I didn't have much experience, the photo I took are not very satisfying. Yet, it was a good experience for me to feel what it's like to take photos in formal events.

Photographer of "魯迅宴"
-2013/03
My second formal event of being a photography. This time I helped my residence hall to take photos in their events. As the participants are my hallmates, it was more causal than the competition above. This time I borrowed some gear from my friend, the photo quality are generally better. For the event itself, it was unique and meaningful as we rarely see some much people wearing Chinese costume and the guest invited was inspiring. Overall, the event enhanced my photo-taking skills and I enjoy the event much.

Photographer of "千人宴"
-2013/11/19
During my term as the ITO of Hong Kong Baptist University Student's Union, one of my main duty was to act as the official photographer for many of the events that are hosted by the student's union. The biggest event among all was called the "千人宴", which is an annual event where more than 800 students gather at the main podium to enjoy a dinner of poon choi (盆菜), while we will invite pop stars and dancers to perform. The event also features lucky draws that includes plane tickets, iPhones and laptops as prizes.
For me, it was a great experience for me to learn the different aspects of photography. While my interest is more towards landscape photography, being an event photographer is something different and gave me a new perspective on composition and post-processing.

Exploring Hong Kong
- Ongoing since 2010
This is actually not a formal project I took part in, however I take it as my personal project. I always love exploring. I love going to new places and see things that I never saw. Even though I went for a full-year exchange in Europe, I still found the charm of my hometown. Thus, I try to exploring new places in Hong Kong that I have never been before - some places like hills, countrysides or even parts of the city that I rarely go. In the process, not only I discovered more, my photography skills has improved as well. For more details, go check my interests.
